Recently Ezekiel has wanted to do everything Bryan does. If Bryan puts a hat on, so does Ezekiel. If Bryan goes upstairs, so does Ezekiel. If Bryan dips his chip in salsa, so does Ezekiel. One day he found Bryan's shoes and decided he wanted to be just like daddy and wear his shoes! I do hope that Ezekiel grows up to be "just like daddy"! We need more good men in the world!

Beachtime Family Fun!
Having Ezekiel meet his great grandparents was such a joy! We met with my parents, grandparents, and great uncle for a few days of fun at the beach. Ezekiel is so great with new people; he warmed up to everyone right away and gave big smiles to everyone. Bryan’s parents also came to the beach for the day, and grandma had fun with Ezekiel while grandpa had fun crabbing with the men.
The men also had fun catching (or trying to catch) crab. They successfully caught one large keeper and had fun cooking and eating it. Zephyr made sure that the crab was killed humanely by putting it into a deep sleep in the freezer. My grandmother got quite a laugh when I opened the freezer and screamed because there was a crab staring me in the face.
We can’t wait for Ezekiel to meet the rest of the family!

Mobile With My Moby!
My wonderful cousin, who has two adorable little boys, recommended that I get a Moby. I’m so thankful that I purchased one because it has recently made my life a lot easier. On days when Ezekiel needs a little extra attention from me I can put him in the Moby and still do dishes, laundry, vacuum and everything else that needs to get done around the house. Last Sunday, we used the Moby to walk around the farmers market and Ezekiel was able to comfortably sleep while we did our shopping! Thanks Heather for the suggestion!
Fun Times & Fun Company!
Some missionary friends of ours were visiting the States this summer from Sweden. When they were up in our neck of the woods we decided the best place to meet was across the sound in Kingston. We had the time and place all planned out so that we would be meeting close to 12:30 for lunch. Then everything started going wrong. Bryan and I (my fault) ended up being 2 minutes late for our ferry so we ended up waiting an extra hour to get on the next ferry. Then, when we go to Kingston we found out that Jesse and Krista were at the wrong ferry terminal. So, we just waited and when they arrived at the correct terminal Jesse almost got on the ferry that would have taken them to where we just came from. Fortunately, with some quick thinking and maneuvering he managed to find a parking spot and by 2:00 we had sat down for lunch. Over lunch we were able to catch up hear about their work in Sweden.
After lunch we walked around the area and before saying our goodbyes we were able to catch a quick photo.
Happy Anniversary!!!
Worth 1000 Words
We had some amazing weather today after a rainy morning so I was able to capture the picture below. I keep trying to tell everyone how beautiful it is where Bryan and I live but you just have to see it to believe it. The picture doesn’t do the actual site any justice but it’s just to give you an idea. The houses in the foreground are part of Marysville. Our house is on the top of that hill, but can’t be seen from where I took the picture. Any of you who haven’t been here will just have to come and see for yourselves.
Birthday Bowling!
Last Thursday evening, Bryan took me to an amazing restaurant for a belated birthday dinner. After dinner we met up with some friends and went bowling. I was pretty surprised when I didn’t come in last place in either of the games we played. All of us playing got several strikes and spares . . . some more than others; (Andy, we should have given you a 50 lb. ball to make it fair) but we had a fun time!
Expanding the family!
Bryan and I adopted two puppies last Friday! We named our little boy Esau, and he is a rottweiler shepherd mix. Since they were at a rescue shelter we can’t be certain of either of their ages but they think he is 3 months old. Our girl, Adah, is a shepherd mix and she is 2 to 3 months old.
Esau is totally a daddy’s boy and loves to be loved. Bryan says he has “abandonment issues” since he always has to be where we are. He is very playful and loves going on walks. He has the cutest little face so we get a lot of awe’s when we are out and about.
Adah is also very playful but she is much more assertive and stubborn. I can already tell that she is going to be a handful at obedience school. She hates being on her leash but loves to be outside and playing with her new brother.
We are excited to have these two new additions and are eager to see them grow. I’m sure there will be many more “puppy” postings from now on.
