Off To Oregon Again
We spent a long relaxing weekend in Oregon last weekend. My mom had a bunch of new toys for Ezekiel to play with so he really liked that. She got a car track that Bryan set up so that Ezekiel could watch the cars race around the track. I think Bryan may have like it more than Ezekiel. Ezekiel also loved looking out at the bay. I wish it hadn’t been so rainy and windy so we could have walked on the beach. There will be plenty of time for that this summer. I’m just trying to figure out how to keep Ezekiel from eating the sand.
Climb To The Clouds
This morning we visited the Yaquina Head light house. Bryan, my father and I made the long spiral journey up to the top of the lighthouse. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t let us carry Ezekiel to the top so my mother stayed at the bottom and held Ezekiel. The 104 steps to the top were no problem; the problem was the open staircase all the way to the top. Not an ideal situation for people who are afraid of heights. It was in the low 40′s so we didn’t stick around long enough to explore the beach below the lighthouse.
After that we found a sheltered cove where we saw harbor seals lounging on the rocks.
Ezekiel was tired form our journey so he slept the whole way home and it didn’t bother him one bit when his hat fell off and onto his face. I think the cold weather bothered him more.
To Grandmothers House We Go!
For the past couple of days we have been in Oregon with my parents. We have been having lots of fun together. My mom and I enjoy cooking together while the men enjoy playing x box. Ezekiel enjoyed snuggling with grandma during his nap time. We also had a Thanksgiving dinner one night. I made my first pumpkin pie ever. Not sure how I managed to go so long without ever making one but Bryan said it was delicious.

Rolling Cinnamon
On our last night in Oregon my cousin, Sydney, and I (mostly Sydney) made cinnamon rolls. I think we ended up staying awake until midnight waiting for the dough to rise so we could roll it out and shape the cinnamon rolls. We had lots of fun and our grandmother who is the best cook ever would be very proud.
Tidepool Exploration!
One afternoon we decided to drive south to the Cape Perpetua State park to explore the tide pools. The tide wasn’t low but we were able to see many interesting things. Everyone found a hole where the water would rush in the side and explode out the top. Somehow I talked Bryan into going next to the hole so I could take a picture of him in front of the exploding water. I felt very bad when his back got soaked. Then as we looked around more I didn’t dodge a wave fast enough and most of my whole right leg got soaked. Other than being wet for most of the time we had a fun time!
